“A personality to match his bright colored socks.” Class Prophecy: Dick leaves his riding horses to a certain girl in Texas. Crier 3, 4; Reflections 3, 4; Camera Club 2, 3, 4; Service Club 4; Student Council 1; Latin Club 1, 2; Forensics 3, 4; Tennis 1, 2; Intramurals 4; Projectors Club 3; Prom Committee.
From Richard:
Dick has had a full life.  He is a recognized and published Dr of Urology, a world known breeder of horses, a vintage sports car racer and active in the Fox and Hounds.

Dick was a Navy pilot and a naval doctor.  He even trained as an astronaut.  He has lived and practiced medicine in Aiken since 1975. 

Dick and Bari, who died over 10 years ago, have two children.

From Dick:
Dick has had a full life.  He joined the Marines out of high school then joined Kearney Trecker as a machinist.  After a brief stint as a machinist, Dick moved on to being a Construction Manager for MSI, a position he held until retirement in 1995. 

Dick and wife were married in 1962 and have three sons.  They now have six grand children, 3 boys and three girls plus another grandchild “on the way.”

Dick and Ann owned and operated the Corner Liquor Mart in Dousman for several years and built Trackside Supper Club in Wales WI, now called Saxes Fine Dining.  They now enjoy the good life, hunting and fishing near their home in Door County.

“In my locker my books do lie, they are at rest and so am I.” Class Will: As is traditional in the Carothers family, Bob leaves the Nash to his brother R.RJ. What happens when there are no more Carothers to leave it to??? Spanish Club 3; Football 1; Golf 4; Dramatics 2.
From Bob:
We haven’t heard much from Bob.  We know he managed to stay single until about 1981 when he married Rita.  They were both professionals and both decided to move to northern Wisconsin to lead the good life.

“A small girl, a big heart, always ready to do her part.” Class Will: Delaine leaves her nickname “Toots” to Bob Moyle. Mixed Choir 4; Girls’ Choir 1, 2, 3; Tripple Trio 4; Homecoming Committee 2, 3, 4; Student Council 4; Home Economics Club 2; Prom Committee; Commercial Club 3, Pres. 4; Library Club 2.
From Delane:
Out of high school, Delaine worked as a stenographer and cashier at Thorpe Finance.  She moved on to become office manager and Corporate Secretary/Treasurer.

Delaine has had a 3 ½ acre lot and Shelties to take care of in her spare time!  She enjoyed bowling.

Delaine writes, “ I’m retired now and trying to adjust to being a widow.  I enjoy our 3 ½ lot and upkeep.  I love to travel to Florida.”

“A minimum of sound and a maximum of sense.” Class Will: Don leaves his Lower Slabovian stamp to Bob Bahdune. Football 3.
From Don:
Bob left high school and went to Seattle Washington until 1971 when he moved back to manage the family farm in Oconomowoc.  He  then started working at Carnation Can Co and met his wife-to-be, Barbara Miller.  They have been married for 25 years.  Don and Barbara have two sons.

Carnation sold to Silgan Container and Don stayed with the new company.

Betty Frazier (Derby)

“A ring on the finger is worth two on the phone.” Class Prophecy: Betty is in the hat business – raising a mess of little derbies. Home Economics Club 3, 4; G.A.A. 2.
From Betty:
Here is one case where the Class Prophecy was correct…Betty raised four little Derbys, all girls!  Betty and John have been married for 50 years.

Betty has been a cook with the school system for years.  She and John travel and Betty enjoys bowling.

“I came, I bluffed, I graduated.” Class Will: Jim leaves his nickname “Feathers” to the Beauty Rest company. Track 2.
From Jim:
Jim worked at various jobs high school.  In 1963 he became a police officer in the City of Milwaukee and 31 years later retired at the rank of sergeant and moved back “home” to the North Lake area.  Approximately six years before retiring from MPD he obtained a real estate brokers license and worked part time as a sales associate until starting Dunn’s Detective Agency in 1998..

Jim and his late wife, Mary (passed away in 1991), had two daughters. Jim met Jackie about two years after Mary passed away.
 
Jim writes, “ Not much to report.  I’m still working part time doing Private Detective work.  Jackie and I like to travel and take 2  or 3 trips a year.  We enjoy riding our Harley Ultra Classic and take one or two trips a year on that.  Since Jackie is still working at the Medical College of Wisconsin (27 years) the duration of our trips is limited.

Oops! I have to sign off now.  I have to do the laundry, make the bed, load the dishwasher, vacuum, etc.  You know, the Honey-Do list.  Did I say I work part time???

From Bob:
After high school, Bob started with Carnation as a mechanic and worked for them and the successor company, Silgan Containers until his  recent retirement. At the same time, he ran his own very successful Blacktop sealing business for nearly 30 years. 

Bob and Ruth have been married for 50 years and have 4 children.  Bob has been an active Harley rider all his life.

Pat and Charlotte have three sons.  Pat worked as a Pattern Maker at USG and then at Fiberesin.  Charlotte worked as a waitress. 

Pat and Charlotte enjoy bowling, softball and bike riding.

“Guys are bothersome but I love to be bothered” Class Prophecy: Lois is a housewife and Mother. In her spare time she embroiders names on the back of bowling shirts. Library Club 1; Girls’ Choir 3.
From Lois:
The prophecy was in part, correct.  Lois was a housewife and mother and we think she may have embroidered a few bowling shirts? At least we know she enjoyed sewing.  Lois has three children.  During her career she worked at Carnation, worked as a bartender,  and sold Amway.

Lois writes, “I work part time at ST Vincent de Paul.  I am raising my great granddaughter
