From Sylvia: Sylvia went four years to the Layton School of Art and for two years was a designer for Marshall Field. She married Vern in 1962 and they moved to MD, where Verne worked for the Baltimore Art Museum. Sylvia taught Art in MD for one year before the Kamholtz’s returned to WI (Green Bay.)
They then moved to Milwaukee where Verne was an Artist for the Milwaukee Public Museum. Sylvia also worked there under contract.
Sylvia likes to travel and has gotten into sculpture and pottery. She has two children.

From Sandra: Sandy worked at Kohl’s for over 25 years. She and Peter have 1 child. Peter is from Greece and they travel there frequently.
Sandy adds, “My husband and I are retired. We enjoy spending time in Florida and we go to Greece occasionally to visit my husband’s family.”

From Joyce: Ron and Joyce were married in 1959. They have three daughters. After high school, Joyce attended UW-Madison and St Olaf College. She taught high school for two years. More recently Joyce served as a Chemical Health Coucelor in the local high school. She and Ron have enjoyed bridge, golf, jogging and skiing. Joyce adds, “Ron and I are busy with our seven grandchildren. We enjoy spending time in our remodeled cabin in Northern WI.”

From Grace: Grace and Don were married in 1965. Don died in 1994 after a long illness. They raised 3 children who provide Grace with travel destinations all over the country. Don worked for Ryan Construction and Grace spent much of her working time at the Boyer family business, The Mapleton Hotel.
Grace also got her Degree in Education and taught school. Grace took up motorcycling and managed to survive it!

Class Prophecy: Pat is operating her own beauty shop in Winnetka IL. She specializes in cosmetics.

From Pat: Contrary to her prophecy, Pat never left Wisconsin. She got her B.S. in Business Management and held key positions in real estate, culminating in a stint with the DNR as a Real Estate Specialist. Pat retired in January 2005 but still does occasional real estate appraisals for land acquired for public projects.
Pat is an active quilter, belonging to a local quilt guild and attending “retreats” as often as possible. She says she is still perfecting my craft.”
Pat and Gary have been married 49 years and live on what’s left of Pat’s parents resort on Springstead Lake in Iron County, Wisconsin. She enjoys snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter and kayaking, swimming and biking in the summer.
She and Gary raised three children. They unexpectedly lost their oldest son, Stephen last summer but take comfort in that they still have Stephen’s wife and 5 year old daughter (Erin), their daughter Laurie and her two boys, plus son, John.
Pat has remained a “live wire!”

From Connie: Connie has two children and four grandchildren. Both her son and daughter are successful teachers. In fact, son Jim, a History teacher at Franklin High, was one of 100 teachers in the nation to be chosen TEACHER OF THE YEAR two years ago! Connie was fortunate to attend the award ceremony and feel the pride associated with having a son who has achieved so much. Daughter Gail is a successful English Teacher at South Milwaukee High. Connie was widowed in 1997. She is retired living in AZ Connie adds, “I have a “fantastic life” and am “as happy as hell!””

From Janet: The prophecy was correct – Janet cooked in her restaurant!
Janet and John have been married for 49 years and have four children. They lived in a big farmhouse on an 84 acre farm until 1994 when they built a smaller place on the property. John started his career as a draftsman and then he and Janet opened up Jan’s Luncheonette in Watertown. Jan Sold the restaurant in 1989 and John retired in 1994. After the restaurant, Jan worked at Shorehaven until retirement. They spend two months a year in Tucson.
Janet reports. “We have a new grandson, Ryan James Parmley, 2 years old in May. What is so good about it is he lives next door.”

From Karen: John and Karen were school teachers in the Oconomowoc area. John taught science and Karen, special ed. John and Karen have six children.
They retired from teaching in 1995 and decided that all things being equal, warmer is better so they moved to Florida!
Karen adds:
“We are enjoying retirement. We travel as often as we can. I do volunteer work and love entertaining fiends and family.
News of kids and grandkids: We have 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with another on the way.
