“Seriously her work she takes, but her smile and sweet disposition are easy to catch.” Class Will: Dianne leaves her stamp and doll collection to Bill Tollefson. Now Bill can count something other than money. Mixed Choir 4; Girls’ Choir 2, 3; Library Club 2, 3, 4; Commercial Club 4; Spanish Club 2, 3; Home Economics Club 4; Pep Club 4.
From Dianne:
John and Dianne were married in 1958.  They have four children.  Dianne started as a policy writer for the Insurance Co of N.A.  From there, she worked as a computer operator at Nasco in Fort Atkinson where she stayed for over 20 years.

She and John love to travel.

Dianne adds, “I am semi retired.  I help teach pre-school at St John’s Lutheran School but still find time to go up to Tomahawk to the cabin.”

Janet and Jim have seven children. 

Jim worked at Carnation for some 44 years.  During that time Janet and Jim became owner/operators of J&J Campground in Hebron and operated it for years.  Jim retired to working at a golf course and Janet is cross stitching and tending to her gardens. 

Jan writes, “We just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a party and a cruise to the Caribbean.”

“We’re proud of our “Good-time Charlie.” Class Prophecy: Charlie, automotive as ever, is now the No. 1 mechanic at the Buick garage.
From Charlie:
Charlie and Mary Jane were married in 1963 and had four children.  Charlie retired after 35 plus years with Carnation. Mary Jane passed away in 2005.

From Roger:
Roger has worked for UPS for 28 years and retired in 1996.  He has worked part time at Radtke Appliance since.  Carole has worked in the school lunch program at Oconomowoc High School.  They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Roger loves to fish and has been an active member of the Ixonia EMS as well as a director of the Lions Club.  He and Carole enjoy traveling and antiques.

Roger writes, “We are snowbirds during the winter for four-five months in Mesa AZ.  We bought a place there three years ago.

“Oh, that blonde, kurly hair.” Class Prophecy: Walter Wessel whistles. Latin Club 4; Track 1, 2, 4; Football 1, 2, 3, 4; Basketball 1; Intramurals 4. Walter lives in the same house that he grew up in on Highway K. He worked his whole career for the Waukesha Co Transit Dept. retiring in 1998. He kept his old 1957 Ford Retractable and still has it! Walter has two children, 5 grandkids, 4 ½ great grandkids and one heck of a Yorkie!

“In classes he’s a quiet sort, but out with the fellows he’s quite a sport.” Class Will: DuWayne leaves his class ring to Florine Schultze who has wanted it for so long. Band 1, 2, 3.
From DuWayne:
DuWayne and Mary were married in 1959.  They have four children. 

DuWayne has lived in Tomahawk most of the time since high school.  DuWayne worked as an Operating Engineer. 

DuWayne “Duke” Wilke has enjoyed several years of retirement.  He has traveled extensively including whitewater rafting down the Snake River through Hell’s Canyon and catching White Salmon on the way this last May.

They have taken several trips to Alaska to visit their youngest son and his family and where the halibut and salmon really bite. 

The Wilkes spend a lot of time with their twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren and their many endeavors.  They have taken many long and short trips on the Harley Davidson motorcycles.  When there is spare time they spend it planting food plots and digging ponds for the wildlife.  Building deer stands for family and friends and logging keeps DuWayne busy the rest of the time!

“Are you sure it wasn’t my brother?” Class Prophecy: Tim recently made history and broke all ski records by jumping 305 feet. Without skis! Football 2, 3, 4; Track 1, 2, 3, 4; Intramurals 1, 2, 3, 4.
From Tim:
Out of high school. Tim went to Milwaukee Institute of Technology, and then served with the Marine Corps.  Out of the Marines, he workewd a short time with Carnation and then GE Credit in IL.  He remained an active ski jumper during this period.

Tim and Lori moved back to Dousman and Tim worked for Tufco Floor.  Lori ran “The Index,” a County Newspaper.  They had three children.

In 1980 the Wilkensons moved to NM and went into real estate and stayed there ever since..

“Short and small a friend to all.” Class Prophecy: Jim, and Donna Houk are running a modeling agency. Jim handles the art work while Donna manages the business end. Mixed Choir 2, 3, 4; Boy’s Octet 3; Service Club 2, 3,4; Dramatics 1, 3, 4; Prom Committee.
From Jim:
Jim and Virginia were married in 1960 and have two children.  Out of high school, Jim went to MIT in Milwaukee and then into the Army, before returning to school at Whitewater.  While in the Army, Jim and Ginny were stationed in Germany. 

Jim retired in 2000 and the Williams took to the road in their motorhome.
 
Jim writes, “God has blessed us with good health.  Ginny and I enjoy our motorhome as much as possible.  I drive school bus part-time and do volunteer work.  Life is good!”
